ReclamationMine Objectives

The objectives of ReclamationMine are:

  • Link to the website of the Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation (TRCR).
  • Be a forum for rapid e-publication and dissemination of news and information about the activities and successes of mine-land reclamation professionals working in western Canada.
  • Inform industry and the public about advances in the technology of mine site reclamation.
  • List links to sites that deal with reclamation.

To further these objectives, InfoMine and Kim Bittman, representing the Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation, have reformatted this page, added new content, and expanded coverage. We have undertaken to continually update information to better serve your needs.

But this is your site: we seek your input and your contributions. Please send us your technical papers so we may post them. Please send us your photos. Please send us your news and views so that we can rapidly post them and enhance quick dissemination of events, happenings, and activities relevant to your peer professionals' interest.

Our first focus is the Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation; but we seek to go further and provide a platform for the rest of the world to benefit from the ideas, inspiration, and successes of mine reclamation in western Canada. And conversely we seek to bring back to western Canada, in one easy-access location, the news, views, and resources on mining land reclamation worldwide.

Mine Reclamation Symposium Proceedings 1977-2002

A CD has been produced which contains the papers presented at each of the previous 26 symposia from the first in 1977 to 2002. The CD was prepared to further one of the main goals of the Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation: sharing knowledge about mine reclamation.
